As a very large, unfit person, I was so apprehensive about doing any sort of exercise, of putting myself out there, I knew I needed too, the spirit was willing... but the flesh was weak (and there was a LOT of it!). But... from my first communications, Sophia has been just... wonderful. There was no judgement, no discouragement, just warm and caring support. I started with one-to-one sessions, wanting to know what I was doing before I considered a class session and wow! did I feel better for it. The sessions left me sweaty, relaxed and so much more comfortable inside my own skin. The lessons went at my pace and each week I felt my body opening up. Sitting cross legged? No longer an issue. Breathless after 10 mins of exercise? Not any more! Under Sophia's practiced eye my confidence grew and now, during lock down, I am attending several sessions a week online and loving it. The transition to the online classes, has been a challenge for everyone, but the teaching is so good, that it still feels like one-to-one lessons, tailored to you, with inclusions for all levels. I can't recommend Blue River Yoga enough, Sophia's knowledge, passion, and genuine friendly support on your personal yoga journey simply can't be beat on any level

I've been attending Sophia's yoga class on and off for years, and it’s truly one of the best around. Recently, I’ve been going to the prenatal classes, and they’ve been fantastic—so insightful and specifically tailored for pregnancy, which I really appreciate. The yoga itself is always on point, and the music and atmosphere create such a relaxing vibe. The relaxation at the end of each session leaves me feeling calm and centred by the time I get home. On top of all that, Sophia is a lovely human being; she brings such warmth and kindness to every class, making the experience even more enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Been attending Blue River yoga since before lockdown as its a great way to keep flexible and calm if your daily life involves a lot of sitting/driving etc. Its like a weekly reset and a really welcoming and friendly class, especially for the rarely seen male yoga practitioner, I'm one of a handful of men who regularly attend and I can confirm that its not intimidating at all and more men should give it a try as a way of building strength and suppleness (especially as we get older) - Sophia is a great teacher, lots of help when required and a great sense of humour. Stop thinking about and give it a go!

I have been attending the pre natal yoga classes with Sophia and it has been wonderful. Sophia is so knowledgable and compassionate. The class involves stretching, relaxation and also the chance to chat and share experiences with other pregnant mums and I have left each class feeling really relaxed which is exactly what I need thank you Sophia xx
